Turn any image into JPG, PNG or WEBP — and shrink it if you like.
Image formats explained
Choose your format
JPG is useful for photographs, but it does not support transparency; Fileflipp fills transparent areas with white. PNG preserves transparency without a lossy quality setting. WEBP offers lossy compression with transparency support in modern browsers.
Size & quality
The maximum-width setting only reduces images wider than your chosen value, preserving the aspect ratio. It does not enlarge smaller images. A lower JPG or WEBP quality setting can reduce file size but may introduce visible artifacts.
Keep the original
Converting a lossy image cannot restore lost detail. Browser re-encoding may discard metadata, and animated inputs are not preserved as animations. Keep the source if you need its metadata, animation or original quality.
